Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for funding, applicants must be an IRS registered non-profit organization based in Gahanna, Ohio, and the organization must directly serve the Gahanna Community. Within the designated priorities, a minimum of 51% of the beneficiaries must be contained within the Gahanna Community. The Gahanna Community is defined as within the city limits of Gahanna and/or whose membership is comprised primarily of City of Gahanna residents. Additional consideration will be given to those serving the broader Gahanna-Jefferson School District.
- If the non-profit has applied or received funding in the past, past performance may be taken into account by the review committee when determining award allocations. All previously funded grants must be in good standing and closed in order to be eligible for consideration. If an applicant has received a grant in a previous cycle that is not in good standing, closed, or is still open, the applicant will not be eligible for funding this round.
- Only applications that clearly answer all questions and submit all required documentation will be considered. Failure to provide supporting documentation, such as proof of non-profit status, audits or letters of support, will result in disqualification from consideration regardless of the merits of the program. Before submitting, applicants should review Section V: Required Documentation to ensure the application is complete. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure they have carefully reviewed the program’s guidelines and requirements prior to submission.
- City staff reserve the right to conduct an initial eligibility review prior to merit review by the GRC. Applicants found to have not met the eligibility requirements outlined in this stage will be removed from consideration and be denied. A determination of eligibility by City staff does not guarantee an award
