Eligibility Criteria
- Only organizations in Cherry County, NE are eligible.
- Grants will not be made to individuals, for religious or political purposes or to organizations that operate for profit.
- Nonprofit organizations that are staffed by volunteers and demonstrate broad community support will be given priority consideration.
- Applicants may be asked to present their grant request at a regularly scheduled board meeting.
- All grant applications are subject to a SAF grant committee review and will be awarded on an objective and nondiscriminatory basis.
- Grant recipients are asked to purchase goods and services in Cherry County, if practical.
- Grant recipients may be asked to provide a final report or copies of bids and/or receipts relevant to the project before monies are disbursed.
- Grant recipients are required to display signage, at the site of the project, showing SAF support.
- Grant recipients are required to be available for media coverage and check presentation.
- Applications may be submitted at any time during the year.
