Submit Applications for Restaurant Disaster Relief Fund Grant

Dated: June 14, 2022

To help restaurants recover in times of critical need, DoorDash has partnered with Hello Alice to create the Restaurant Disaster Relief Fund.

Donor Name: DoorDash

State: All States

County: All Counties

Type of Grant: Grant

Deadline: 06/30/2022

Size of the Grant: $10,000

Details:

The Restaurant Disaster Relief Fund Grant is only intended to cover disasters that occur from natural processes of the Earth such as hurricanes, floods, and wildfires. COVID-19 related damages are not eligible.

Disasters are unpredictable — but critical support shouldn’t be. The average small business loses $3,000 every day they remain closed due to a natural disaster. The fund supports restaurants impacted by natural disasters like fires, floods and hurricanes, and provides relief through $10,000 grants.

Nearly 40% of small businesses are unable to reopen their doors following a disaster according to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Through the Restaurant Disaster Relief Fund, DoorDash hopes to reduce the financial burden imposed on small businesses following a state or federally-declared natural disaster, helping keep their doors open for years to come.

Grants can be used to cover operating costs following a state or federally declared natural disaster, including rent or mortgage payments, food and beverage inventory, utilities, supplies and materials, and supplier costs. All restaurants meeting the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply. Restaurants do not need to be on the DoorDash platform to be eligible. A partnership with DoorDash or Caviar is not required or considered.

Eligibility Criteria

  • To be eligible to enter a business in the Program, you (“Officer”) must be all of the following as of the first day of the Program Period (defined below):
    • an entrepreneur who is the leading executive (i.e. Founder and/or President, CEO, CFO, COO, or any such other similar title) of a business that meets the below business criteria;
    • a legal resident of one of the fifty United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico;
    • eighteen (18) years of age or older (19 in AL and NE).
