Preference will be given to projects, programs and activities that meet the following criteria:
- Provide or expand public/community access to cultural resources and programming
- Feature community partnerships and collaboration
- Encourage community participation and engagement
- Positively impact a broad range of community members
Cultural programming can include, but is not limited to activities that:
- Promote, preserve or revive local heritage and culture (ex: Native American history, tradition, artifacts and art)
- Introduce or share Oklahoma’s cultural heritage through civic engagement, educational activities, sports, history projects, the arts, economic activities, literature, etc.
- Inspire participation and bring community members together to learn about/experience local culture (ex: festivals, exhibitions, conferences and volunteer efforts)
- Increase access to cultural resources (ex: expanding the use of public spaces such as parks, museums, art galleries, etc.)

Eligible Counties
Programs, projects and activities must take place within the following central Oklahoma counties: Oklahoma, Canadian, Cleveland, Logan Counties.
Eligibility Criteria
- 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that serve and are located in the eligible Oklahoma counties.
- Nonexempt organizations that qualify for the use of charitable dollars such as schools, local government agencies, or state/city connected agencies may apply as long as the funding request is for public programs that take place in the eligible Oklahoma counties.
- If the applicant organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, they must have a current GiveSmartOKC profile
- Grants will not be made to individuals or private foundations.
