The Bar NI Ranch Community Service Fund will primarily consider grant applications for support of specific programs and activities. Grant applications for capital campaigns and for general support are sometimes, but not usually, recommended.
Within these fields, as appropriate, the trustees prefer programs mainly serving youth and young adults, with a special interest in programs focused on ensuring the healthy growth and development of infants and young children, as a foundation for their future success.
Through a series of collaborative community leader meetings the primary areas identified for the BNI CSF to focus their mission on were determined to be:
- Education
- Youth Development
- Environment/Conservation
- Health and Human Services
- Civic and Public Benefit

Grant awards generally range from $1000 — $5000 for a one-year period.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Bar NI Ranch Community Service Fund (BNI CSF) awards grants to 501(c)(3) charitable organizations in the Purgatoire Valley area.
- The BNI CSF Local Advisory Committee recommends grant awards to the fund trustees in areas that represent the most fitting community needs that best match the focus of their mission statement.
- Grants to programs sponsored by religious organizations may be funded if the program or activity is clearly distinguished from religious activities and if the program or activity is available to all denominations.
