Funding is to support community service organizations, registered as a non-profit corporation, for the necessary support of the poor and/or the infirm and serve the area of the City of Maple Valley or provide services to residents of Maple Valley. Funding is also to support community events which foster economic development to the community.
All fund applications will be for 2023 funding and will be performed by a competitive process. It is intended the programs supports activities of the community service agencies that provide services for the necessary support of the poor and infirm.
Applications will be categorized in two categories:
- Human Services Grants
- Economic Development Grants
Representatives of the City’s Finance Committee and the Economic Development Commission will screen and evaluate applications for grant funds. A recommendation will then be brought forth to the City Council for funding decisions.
Grant recipients must:
- Have financial systems in place that would facilitate third party auditing.
- Sign a contract with the City for the use of the funds.
- Provide an end-of year report to the City for the use of grant funds.
