Vendor Impact Grant for Small Businesses in California

Dated: August 1, 2022

Farm-to-Fork Festival is inviting applications for the Vendor Impact Grant to support the minority-owned businesses.

Donor Name: Visit Sacramento

State: California

City: Sacramento

Type of Grant: Grant

Deadline: 08/12/2022

Details:

As part of Visit Sacramento’s diversity, equity, and inclusion Neighborhood Farm-to-Fork program, this grant has been established specifically for food and agricultural businesses that are minority-owned, ethnically diverse- and/or LGBTQ-owned. It’s designed to provide more opportunity for participation from businesses or individuals who have been historically underrepresented at Sacramento’s annual Farm-to-Fork Festival and to provide a more inclusive experience for all festivalgoers.

The Vendor Impact Grant will be awarded to ten (10) small businesses and organizations majority-owned by anyone who identifies as minority/person(s) of color and/or LGBTQ; has not previously participated as a Farm-to-Fork Festival vendor; is not a previous recipient of the grant; demonstrates a financial need.

Criteria

  • All vendors must share Visit Sacramento’s Farm-to-Fork Values, and the items and information shared by the vendor should be consistent with those values.
  • Food vendors must provide a minimum of one meal entrée that is locally sourced (within 150 miles).
  • Vendors may not be affiliated with a political campaign or provide information relative to any political cause, initiative or issue.
  • Any vendor with business practices or affiliations that may be considered controversial or inconsistent with values outlined above will not be approved.
  • While the Farm-to-Fork Festival does provide opportunities for our business community to support this celebration, they will not be approved through the Festival Vendor program.
