The Central Indiana Community Foundation is accepting applications for its CDBG Summer Youth Program Fund to support summer programs for Marion County youth that provide safe spaces to study, read, learn, connect with friends, play sports, and engage in emotional and educational enrichment.

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) is a formula grant from Housing and Urban Development (HUD) provided to states and cities for the purpose of providing benefits and services to low income individuals and their neighborhoods.
CDBG Public Service is the use of a portion of those funds to support service programs. $300,000 will be available for the Summer Youth Program Fund.
Programs must be for the exclusive benefit of Marion County youth. Grants can support costs such as staffing, program materials, healthy meals and snacks, scholarships that keep programs free or low-cost, and more.

Eligibility Criteria
- Funding will be directed to youth employment programs.
- Client Profile Form (back side of this document) must be completed for all clients.
- Funding cannot be used for programs based within the excluded cities of:
- Beech Grove
- Lawrence
- Southport
- Speedway.
Requirement
- Any CDBG funds are contingent on approval of 2020 Federal budget.
- 51% of clients served by a program must be at 80% of the Area Median Income. – EX) Family of four can make up to $63,900.
- Remaining 49% of clients can be at any income level.
- Creation of a new program OR expansion of the number of clients served for an existing program.
- Payments are based on a reimbursement basis and only for eligible costs.
