The mission pf the city is to promote the development of Bangor as a regional arts center that nurtures the artistic and cultural expression of its diverse peoples.
Applicants must demonstrate how City of Bangor funds will be used to benefit Bangor’s citizens and visitors and contribute to the economic and cultural vitality of the city. Funds requested must be matched 1:1 with other means of funding. Funds requested must be used on projects located within the City of Bangor, and directly serve the Bangor community.
Funding Information
- Individual artists may submit applications for grants not to exceed $1,000. Grants to individual artists can only be used for reimbursement of the cost of supplies and materials purchased after grant approval. Completed projects must, at least initially, be available to the general public.
- Non-profit organizations holding a current IRS determined non-profit status are eligible to apply for grants of up to $5,000.
