Funding Information
This is a competitive grant program. The maximum grant award will be $4,000,000 per applicant. The minimum grant award will be $50,000 per project. Local cost match is not required; however prioritization will be given to projects for which the applicant is including a private funding match of at least 25%.
Eligible Beneficiaries
Eligible beneficiaries include ANY of the following:
- Individuals who are currently employed but are seeking a position with greater opportunities for economic advancement, such as higher wages or more opportunities for career advancement;
- Individuals experiencing unemployment and who want to and are available for work;
- Individuals living in low-and moderate-income households;
- Individuals living in a household located in a Qualified Census Tract;
- Individuals living in a household that experienced housing insecurity;
- Individuals living in a household that qualifies for certain federal benefits;
- Long-term unemployed individuals who worked before COVID-19 but had to quit due to COVID-19 or lost their job due to COVID-19, but who want to work and are available to work (Long-term unemployed means the person has been unemployed for more than the period for which he or she could receive benefits)
- Incarcerated individuals scheduled for release.
- Individuals seeking employment related to the construction of water, sewer or broadband infrastructure;
- Individuals seeking employment inthe child care or health care industries.
Eligibility Criteria
- Missouri company(ies) seeking to recruit and train new or existing employees who are eligible beneficiaries.
- Entities located in Missouri and working in coordination with a Missouri company(ies) including:
- Missouri Public Local Education Agencies
- Industry Associations
- Local Economic Development Organizations
- Local Workforce Development Boards
- Chambers of Commerce
- Nonprofit Organizations
