- Total grant funding available for 2022: $50,000
- Grant applications should be $5,000, $7,500, or $10,000 and awards are limited to NJ non-profit organizations.
Eligibility Criteria
- New Jersey non-profit organizations seeking to reduce litter & plastic pollution, promote single-use plastic related education initiatives (straws, reusable bags, polystyrene, Get Past Plastic), and enhance litter-related metrics I analytics relative to single use plastics.
- Must be a NJ non-profit in good standing.
Program Recommendations
Examples of desired program activities include:
- Litter survey J collection of litter data with analytics
- Development and implementation of youth education programs
- Promote education and implementation of NJ’s single use plastics law in overburdened communities
- Enhancement of municipal litter prevention ordinances
- Business engagement to enhance education of and compliance with single use plastics law
- Support education to promote eco-conscious items and practices, efforts to skip the straw, or other programs to decrease overall litter and plastic use
