The primary objective of this program is to support the work being done by non-profit organizations in the City of Burlington to support individuals, households, and industries that were disproportionally impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Funding Information
Grants will range in size from $10,000 to $150,000 and applicants must use these funds for work within the City of Burlington to address public health and economic impacts on households, populations or classes (i.e., groups) that experienced or continue to experience pandemic impacts.
The Targeted Grants for Non-Profit Organizations Program is funded through American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds provided to the City of Burlington through the Corona Virus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF).
Program Service Area
Financing under this Program is available to eligible non-profit organizations providing services within the City of Burlington jurisdictional boundaries.
Eligible Use of Funds
Grants may be used on the following eligible costs:
- Provide services and support to individuals, households, businesses and industries that were impacted or disproportionately impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic
- Provide direct support to individuals or families whose income is below 80% AMI
- Provide direct support to individuals, families or communities in qualified census tracts as define by the Department of Housing and Urban Development
- Provide support to individuals whose livelihood was deteriorated due to the Covid-19 pandemic
Eligibility Criteria
- Non-profit organization currently engaging in work within the City of Burlington
- Applicants must be current on terms of existing City financial assistance
- Organizations must use funds to alleviate suffering or provide support related to the public health and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic
- Eligible applicants must be registered with the State of Vermont as a non-profit organization
