CNY Arts Individual Artist Commission Program in New York

Dated: November 16, 2022

The CNY Arts Individual Artist Commission program (IAC) supports the creation of new works by local individual artists or collectives demonstrating strong creativity and community involvement.

State: New York

County: Selected Counties

Type of Grant: Grant

Deadline: 12/16/2022

Size of the Grant: $1,000.00 to $2,500.00

Details:

IAC represents a “live and work” investment in local artists and is designed to provide project-specific support for local artist-initiated activity and to highlight the role of artists as important members of the community.

The purpose of SCR is to create access and support of the arts to the geographically, economically, and ethnically diverse segments of the state’s population. It is designed to create vibrant arts communities in all 62 counties by partnering with local and regional arts councils such as CNY Arts, to provide a link between NYSCA and the artists and arts agencies who are otherwise unable to access state arts funding

Goals

The CNY Arts SCR Program is designed to support the capacity of individual artists, collectives, and small nonprofit organizations to develop high quality arts projects and programming. By providing project-specific funds, they aim to contribute to the cultural development of their region and to provide opportunities for the Central New York and Mohawk Valley communities to experience and engage with the arts.
