Preliminary proposals are requested for the 2024-2026 University of Hawai‘i Sea Grant College Program (Hawai‘i Sea Grant) funding cycle. Hawai‘i Sea Grant is one of 34 Sea Grant College Programs dedicated to improved understanding and stewardship of the nation’s marine and coastal resources. Created by Congress in 1966, the National Sea Grant College Program comprises a network of more than 300 participating institutions, drawing on the talents of over 3,000 scientists, engineers, educators, students, and outreach specialists nationwide.
Funding Information
- Funding requests may not exceed $50,000/year inclusive of indirect costs. Graduate Fellows are funded separately from the research award and bring an additional value of $41,982/year to selected projects.
- Funding begins February 1, 2024 and ends January 31, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
Faculty from universities and colleges; state, local and regional governments and organizations; and individuals in Hawai‘i and US Pacific territories are encouraged to apply.
