The Frank W. and Carl S. Adams Memorial Fund was established in 1925 to support and promote quality educational, human services and health care programming for underserved populations. Annual gifts are also awarded to the Harvard University Medical School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for student scholarships.
Applicants may apply for either program or general operating support. Grant requests for general operating support from organizations with annual budgets of $5 million or less are encouraged. For larger organizations, general operating support will be considered.
Priority will be given to those projects and/or organizations that can demonstrate specific impact and effectiveness of their work and how those successful programs reach the greatest number of people. Typically, applications for programs that are “light-touch” (for example, one time, short-term interventions) are less likely to be successful.
