Deadline: 03/31/2023

Size of the Grant: $100,000 – $150,000

Details:

The Latino Community Foundation is thrilled to launch PoderArte to amplify the importance of arts and culture and to channel vital resources to the artists—the culture bearers, keepers, and teachers who help us dream up a better world. LCF has partnered with the California Arts Council (CAC) as an Administering Organization of the Creative Corps Pilot Program.

The goals of PoderArte are to promote civic engagement, including election participation, social justice, and community engagement by investing in artists, culture bearers, and nonprofit organizations across the state. This work builds on LCF’s efforts under the Latino Power Fund, an initiative to build civic and political power in communities of color with three key approaches:

  • Strengthen frontline organizations engaged in healing and movement building.
  • Equip and mobilize leaders and voters with the tools to make lasting civic and political change.
  • Uplift a narrative that is progressive, just, and rooted in values of equity.
