Applications Open for Youth Arts Grants (California)

Dated: March 13, 2023

The Vallejo Arts Fund is seeking applications for its Youth Arts Grants to support professional artists working with BIPOC youth for classes, workshops, and arts/cultural spaces — for them to gather and express themselves — for at least 3 years.

Donor Name: Vallejo Arts Fund

State: California

City: Vallejo

Type of Grant: Grant

Deadline: 03/18/2023

Size of the Grant: $10,000 to $30,000

Details:

The Youth Arts Grants provides funding for programming that engage youth and young people in making art, learning art-making skills, and practicing their art forms. This part of the fund is specifically interested in directly impacting the lives of Black and Indigenous youth communities in Vallejo

Applicants who apply to the YOUTH ARTS GRANT may apply to any other grant category (Arts Cultural Space; BIPOC-Centered Arts & Cultural Practice; Individual Microgrant; and Artist Next Level Projects) but may only receive up to two VAF grants). However, artists, groups, or organizations cannot receive both Youth Arts grants and BIPOC-Centered Arts & Cultural Grants for the same program/project.

The Fund seeks to support artistic and cultural work within the performing arts, visual arts, digital and media arts, traditional folk arts, and oral/written storytelling.

Funding Information

There is $130,000 available in the Youth Arts Grants category. In the spirit of the fund, the Vallejo Arts Fund will make as many YOUTH ARTS grants as possible ranging from $10,000 to $30,000.
