Details:

RootCamp supports AgTech & Bioeconomy startup founders in laying the foundation for long-term success and scaling your businesses more quickly by providing you with access to funding, potential clients, partners, mentors, and experts. Their expert team is committed to working with each founder on their journey individually to create world class companies and attract venture investment.

They offer two programs based on the maturity level of your startup.

They generally have 2 programs per year and every startup stays in RootCamp for a minimum of 3 months up to 1 year (including the pilot project).

Important Note: The application process for both programs is the same.

Program Structure

The program is divided in two phases:

  • Acceleration program | 3 months | grant up to 6k €
  • Integration project (optional) | up to 12 months | up to 40k €

Acceleration Program

  • The program consists of a 12 intense weeks with a both in-person and virtual presence.
  • You get weekly personalized coaching and a network of mentors that supports you on topics like IP, finance, fundraising, sales, marketing, IT, HR, etc. During this period you have full access to the office, access to their e-learning platform, and all events. This phase ends with a Demo Day.

Integration Project

  • After that, you will have the possibility to get additional 9 months to further define, develop and pilot your product/technology in cooperation with their corporate partners.
  • This project’s length, terms, and conditions are strictly individual as all projects are different.
  • Pilot outcomes include:
    • Product co-development
    • Commercial partnership
    • Licensing agreements
    • Extension of customers base
    • Additional investments

Terms

  • They take no equity and it is cost-free.
  • A grant up to € 6k supports participation to the acceleration phase and additional funds are assigned to startups for the project phase up to € 40k
  • Compulsory attendance to the activities of the acceleration program and all events (including Demo Day).
  • The program is hybrid (3 out of 12 weeks are in presence in Hannover).
  • The program is entirely in English.
