The Presenter Incentive provides up to $2,500 per calendar year to organizations who hire performing artists from their Touring Arts Roster—a juried list of some of the best performers in King County. Funding is available to Local Arts Agencies, city agencies, business associations, Sustained Support organizations, and Public Development Authorities producing free or low-cost performing arts events for their communities. Organizations and events must be located in King County.

  • Reimburses 50% of artist fees for Touring Arts Roster performers only.
  • $2,500 maximum per calendar year; can include multiple events.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Public benefit
    • is your event an accessible, feasible performing arts event in King County? Will King County residents or visitors be able to enjoy, experience, or benefit from the event?
  • Qualifications
    • if you are new to 4Culture funding, does your organization have the experience and ability to successfully produce the event?
  • Feasibility
    • is your artist/performer budget realistic?
  • Advancing equity (optional)
    • if your event is created for or by historically marginalized communities, please describe. This is not a requirement for funding.

Your organization must be located in King County and be one of the following:

  • King County Local Arts Agencies (LAAs)
  • Business associations, such as Chambers of Commerce and Downtown Associations.
  • City agencies or municipalities.
  • Sustained Support nonprofit organizations.
  • Public Development Authorities.

Your Event

4Culture values the right to express and experience culture as a community. This grant offers financial support for organizations presenting performing artists from our Touring Arts Roster for their communities. Their event must:

  • Be open to the public, accessible, and free or low cost.
  • Take place in King County.
  • Include performing artists currently listed on the 4Culture Touring Arts Roster. You can only apply for reimbursement for TAR performer fees.

Grant cannot be funded religious instruction, exercise, or worship, or performances for fundraising events.
