Grants are made to institutions that are located in or have branches in South Central Pennsylvania and which serve that area, with an emphasis in Dauphin and Cumberland Counties. Normally grants are not made to State-affiliated schools, colleges, or universities.
To be considered for Kline Foundation aid, the application must be submitted and the following information must be fully stated:
- A description of the need and purpose, the qualifications of the requesting organization, and the location as to where and how the support will be used.
- A budget for the project any support that will be received from other sources and a copy of your most recent financial statement.
- The amount of the request from the Kline Foundation and the dates the funds are needed.
- A copy of a letter from the Internal Revenue Service showing that the Organization is exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and that the organization is not a private Foundation under Section 509(a).
Criteria
- Kline Foundation accepts grant applications from non-profit organizations that are exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Organization cannot be a private Foundation under Section 509(a). Grants are made to non-profit organizations that are located in or provide their primary service in South Central Pennsylvania, with an emphasis in Dauphin and Cumberland Counties.
- No grants are made to individuals and no grants are made to organizations for purposes of propaganda, lobbying, attempting to influence legislation, or for participating in any way in a political campaign.
