The FAC’s Arts Support Program seeks to support both new and established arts events and projects in the City of Fredericksburg that celebrate and expand the arts in their community.
The FAC defines “arts” broadly and artists – visual, functional, performing, literary, digital, culinary – are encouraged to seek out FAC support for events and projects in their city. The FAC is committed to supporting a variety of arts programs including virtual opportunities due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19. Both in-person events and virtual programming will be considered for funding. The program is funded by the City of Fredericksburg to help support their thriving arts community.
Goals:
- To support existing local arts events and projects in Fredericksburg
- To provide support for new arts events and projects in the Fredericksburg community
- To help increase the awareness of the vibrant Fredericksburg arts community
- To attract people to the City of Fredericksburg to experience their vibrant arts community
- To increase the sense of community among local artists
- To support expansion of arts event and projects in Fredericksburg community
Eligibility Criteria:
- The event/project must be primarily an arts-focused event/project and demonstrate a clear correlation with the arts.
- The event/project must include a significant public outreach element and engagement of the Fredericksburg Arts community.
- The event/project must not be primarily a for-profit event/project for a single artist or arts organization.
- Events/project taking place outside of the 22401 zip code will be considered after review of applications from events within 22401
