Grants can be used towards the repair or replacement of bathrooms, kitchens, windows, doors, roofs, porches, awnings, and gutters, siding/exterior, walls, and lights, among other eligible expenses.
Recognizing that supporting homeowners in maintaining their homes is an important part of neighborhood revitalization, HANDS’ Home Improvement Grant Program is intended to assist homeowners in improving the health, safety, and value of their homes.
Funding Information
Grants will range from $1,000 to $15,000 based on each applicant’s demonstrated need for the grant.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible homes MUST be located in either the Heart of Orange or Valley Neighborhoods.
- Your application will be automatically disqualified if the property in question is not within the abovementioned boundaries.
- Applicants must be the property owner or apply on behalf of the owner, who must be their family member (e.g., grandmother, father).
- The property must be owner-occupied and not a rental property.
