Details:

The 2023 No Limits Mini Grant are a wonderful way to help you build your leadership skills within your school and your community to bring awareness as to the amount of commercial tobacco waste accumulated in your local area. It will also create knowledge about the dangers of commercial tobacco use and how it affects you and everyone in your community and in the state of Nebraska.

Work with your school’s administration or organization to create messaging to get your message heard. The fight against Big Tobacco takes many forms, your voice is powerful and influential to peers, so be creative and outline how you can become a force for change!

Goal 

The main objectives of the youth led tobacco prevention mini grants are to draw public awareness to the impacts of youth use of tobacco. You can organize a cleanup event, point out the impacts of flavored tobacco, draw attention to media and how they play into big tobacco, as well as learn how to make your voice be heard by tackling policies to create a tobacco free Nebraska and a tobacco free world! Outline your challenges around a tobacco issue of your choice and write a summary of lessons learned and what needs to be done in your community to reduce the amount of tobacco use in your community as part of your application.

Funding Information

$500 Grants will be awarded for One Youth Led Tobacco Prevention Event & One Public Service Announcement.

Eligibility Criteria 

No Limits Mini-Grants are available to Nebraska teens who want to fight Big Tobacco and its manipulative marketing tactics. Anyone in grades 6–12+ may apply for a grant, selecting at least one tobacco prevention activity.
