The Arts Council of Moore County is accepting applications for its Barnes-Travis Arts Scholarship Program to provide financial assistance to Moore County middle and high school students with demonstrated talent and interest in the arts.

The funds may be used to attend a special arts program or for private art instruction in the following genres: visual art, music, dance (non-ballet), classical ballet, drama, writing, and film.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be in grades 6–12 and attending a Moore County (NC) public, private, charter, or homeschool. The Lea Ballet Scholarship also requires the applicant to be a Moore County resident.
- Applicant must have a demonstrated interest and talent in at least one arts discipline.
- Applicant must be registered, or in the process of registering, to attend an arts program or to take private art lessons. These funds are NOT for college attendance or tuition.
- Applicant must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
