The general focus area for the Women for Women grant cycle is women’s and/or women’s and children’s issues in Sangamon County and surrounding counties. Recipients are expected to provide a written mid-year progress report and end-of-year grant report in the year following the grant award, as well as an in-person presentation to membership at Women for Women’s annual fall luncheon. Special consideration will be given to those programs that:
- Are not duplicative or similar to those of other agencies;
- Are collaborative with other agencies or entities; and
- Have measurable results.

In 2025, The Women’s Fund is soliciting grant requests in the range of $30,000 – $67,000. Approximately $67,000 in total is available for grantmaking. Preference will be given to large, impactful requests.
Eligibility Criteria
The submitting organization must be a:
- 501(c)(3) charitable organization, OR
- faith-based organization (proposals must benefit all, regardless of religion, and be for a service provided which is not religious in nature), OR
- public or private school (proposals must be for projects that exceed the school’s budget funding), OR
- some government entities or municipalities may be eligible.
