Areas of Interest
The Taylor Endowment Fund Agreement specifies the following areas of interest including example organizations. Available annual grant funding will rotate in the following order and in the same sequence thereafter:
- 2025 Environmental Conservation: Charitable organizations that provide education about or financial support for environmental conservation.
- 2026 Civic Engagement: Charitable organizations that serve to educate the public about the need to take an active part in civics in the United States, defined as the study of the theoretical and practical aspects of citizenship, its rights and duties and the duties of citizens to each other as members of a political body and to the government, including the study of civil law and civil code and the study of government with attention to the role of citizens – as opposed to external factors – in the operation and oversight of government.
- 2027 Historic Preservation: Charitable organizations that provide education about or financial support for historic preservation.

Greater Huntsville, Alabama (Jackson, Limestone, Madison, Marshall, and/or Morgan Counties).
Eligibility Criteria
All grants from this Fund must be made for charitable, scientific, literary, or educational purposes to an organization that is described in IRS code as a 501(c)(3) public charity. Qualified organizations also include schools, religious institutions, or government agencies (when the funds are used for a public purpose) located in the Greater Huntsville area.
