Eligibility Criteria
- A charitable nonprofit entity, not a private foundation, with tax exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code, and where appropriate, under Section 170 (c); or an educational institution
- Applying to address a health challenge, need or opportunity that meets the mission of Community Health Alliance and the criteria for the funding category
- Community Health Alliance will not accept applications:
- From organizations that discriminate against race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), national origin, disability, age, or genetic information
- From private foundations
- For solely individual benefit
- To support fundraising events
- To support medical research
- To influence elections
- To support projects for the sole purpose of data collection.
Applicant Preferences
- Organizations serving children, families, and vulnerable populations in Western Montana.
- Organizations offering services unduplicated in Western Montana and who, through collaboration, are able to increase the impact of any Community Health Alliance funding received.
