The objective of IDD Crisis Stabilization funding is to support individuals with IDD through the development or enhancement of community-based crisis prevention and/or intervention support and strategies.
Proposed projects should reflect evidence-based, evidence-informed, and/or best, promising, or emerging practices. Proposals must include one or more of the following activities:
- Use of Multidisciplinary Teams for Crisis Intervention and Service Planning
- Coordination of medical and behavioral care from providers with knowledge and expertise to provide care for people with IDD
- Establishment of Crisis Respite Beds, Crisis Stabilization/Therapeutic Beds
- Coordination and collaboration with 988 providers, Mobile Crisis Response Teams, and behavioral health providers to ensure inclusive crisis services.
Funding Information
Approximately $2,000,000 in funding is available.
Grant Period
July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
Applications will be accepted from IDD organizations as specified in Kansas Law (K.S.A 38- 1803).
