Details:
Projects must seek to modify fire behavior through the treatment/reduction of hazard fuels and must take place within 1.5 miles of a federal project with similar fire mitigation objectives. This program is very similar to the Western States Fire Managers (WSFM) grant program with the following differences:
- Federal project adjacency requirement
- Education components of the project must be specific to the project area – no general education
- No match funding requirement (leverage funding is highly encouraged).
