Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, these coalitions or organizations must have been operating for at least six months prior to the release date of the Request for Applications (RFA) in March 2025.
- An “existing community organization” can include a coalition, task force, or similar group. Coalitions within a community work together to create a safe, healthy, and drug-free environment. They differ from traditional human service organizations because they are led by community residents and representatives from various sectors who devise strategies to tackle local issues using evidence-based approaches.
- The eligible Existing Organization and/or their eligible Existing Fiscal Agent must then:
- Currently hold approved IRS tax-exempt status as a 501(c)(3) charity or nonprofit organization.
- Have obtained a current Kansas Certificate of Tax Clearance.
