Successful proposals will specifically address the proposed direct and indirect, actual and potential public benefits of the study, which will accrue to the State of Wyoming, its residents and communities, including, but not limited to, job creation or retention, technological advancement, sales and use tax, severance tax, and ad valorem/property tax.
The study’s objectives include, but are not limited to:
- Analyzing the economic impact of energy production within Wyoming.
- Analyzing the economic impact of the Energy Matching Funds program’s investments in Wyoming energy projects.
- Comparing each energy and mineral source’s production.
- Benchmarking Wyoming’s energy production against other states and countries.
- Quantifying the energy industry’s contributions to state and local tax revenues.
- Assessing employment and payroll data related to the energy sector.
- Identifying both tangible and intangible economic benefits generated by the energy industry.
- Documenting energy-related innovations developed by Wyoming producers.
Eligibility Criteria
Participation in this program is open to private industry, public and private universities, government agencies, research institutions, and individuals who can undertake a demonstration project of this magnitude.
