Details:
A total of $40 Million will be granted over three years (2025-2027) in the region 6 geography of focus: Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana. A minimum of 80% of awarded projects will serve underserved and disadvantaged communities. A planned total of 244 grant awards will be made: 97 in year one, 97 in year two, and 50 in year three.
The goal of the TEAM UP grant program is to assist communities disproportionately affected by environmental, climate and public health impacts on projects involving assessment, planning, development and implementation.
Award Tiers
- Noncompetitive- for severely capacity constrained organizations, $75,000, 1 year
- Tier I (Competitive)- assessment projects $150,000, 1 year
- Tier II (Competitive)- planning projects ($250,000), and 1 year, or 2 years
- Tier III (Competitive) – development and implementation projects $350,000, 2 years.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible Thriving Community Subgrantee Entities:
- Federal or state-registered nonprofit organizations
- Community-based and grassroots nonprofit organizations
- Philanthropic and Civic organizations with nonprofit status
- Tribal governments (both federally recognized and state-recognized) and intertribal consortia (i.e., a partnership between two or more tribes that work together to achieve a common objective.)
- Native American Organizations (includes Indian groups, cooperatives, nonprofit corporations, partnerships, and associations that have the authority to enter into legally binding agreements).
