The final product of the art project submitted must fall into one of these three categories:
- Amplifying the rich history and story of Columbia, South Carolina.
- Improve and expand public knowledge of the rivers, the Saluda, the Broad, and the Congaree, and encourage public recreation activity at river access sites.
- Furthering sustainability with a focus on topics like climate change, heat reduction, beautification, and conservation.

$500 to $1,500.
Allowable Expenses
Software or creative platforms such as Adobe, CorelDraw, Canva Premium, etc or other technological applications, exhibition materials, design materials, installation, insurance, and any other costs associated with creating the artwork.
Eligibility Criteria
- The micro-grants are only open to artists who live in or work in the Columbia, SC area.
- You are a professional visual artist or an artist team and preferably have been publically exhibited in the Columbia or larger South Carolina area.
- You are a US citizen or can be authorized to work in the United States.
- You create art or artwork well suited for public spaces.
- You are 18+ years old.

- Aesthetic quality of conceptual design.
- Longevity of project
- Accessibility of the project to the public.
