Black Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) Arts Network and Fund (BANF) is a collective effort of philanthropy and community that is imagined as a three- to five-year initiative. BANF is seeking an evaluation partner to conduct a developmental evaluation to support program design, implementation, and ongoing improvement.
The BIPOC Arts Network and Fund (BANF) is a multi-year initiative created to provide resources and networks that support the vibrant Black, Latinx, Indigenous, Asian American, Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern, and other communities of color of Greater Houston in fully displaying their power, values, and traditions. Its goals are achieved through grant funding, advocacy, and community-building networking initiatives that revolutionize the local funding landscape, break down silos within the arts ecosystem, and welcome everyone to support and learn from BIPOC arts communities
Structure of BANF
- BANF leadership is comprised of committees made up of Black, Latinx, Asian, Indigenous and LGBTQ+
leaders. - The 7-member Steering Committee is made up of community leader, artist, and funder representatives and currently guides core programmatic goals and sets immediate priorities
- The 9-member Accountability and Advisory Council (AAC) is a diverse group of artists, curators, scholars, organizational leaders, and foundation partners who work with the Project Director and Steering Committee to develop and advise on the strategic vision, language, and community impacts
- The 8-member Evaluation Sub-Committee is made up of community leader, artist, and funder representatives and is responsible for developing and releasing the RFP and selecting the evaluation partner for this work
- In 2022, BANF will build a Community Board (CB) that brings together donors to make decisions in partnership with leaders and members from the very community they seek to serve.
- The CB is envisioned as a 13-member body composed of foundation partners, artists, arts professionals, and community leaders
