The Boston Club Community Salute Advancement Award is a cash prize given to a selected New England nonprofit organization whose mission, services, and programs align with TBC’s 2024 Community Salute program – “Women’s Leadership in Times of Disruption | A Focus on Higher Education”.
The Salute features a far-ranging and provocative conversation on the impact of women’s leadership in attracting, educating, and retaining a diverse, gender equitable New England workforce across sectors given today’s changing educational and economic environments, particularly in light of the recent SCOTUS decision on the use of diversity criteria in student admission.
The Award will be presented to a qualified regional nonprofit to support a program or initiative that advances post secondary education access and success for women.The organization can have programs and services that support all genders; however this Award will be used by the organization to benefit women specifically.
Funding Information
The $10,000 cash prize is intended to significantly enhance a key area of the organization’s work.
Criteria for Selection
The organization or program:
- Aligns with the Boston Club’s mission. The Boston Club is an influential community advancing women leaders, offering connection, access and professional development;
- Focuses on the Award theme of supporting and advancing post secondary education access and success for women, particularly those from under-resourced communities;
Is located in a New England state (CT, ME, MA, NH, RI, VT) and provides services in the New England area; - Must be a nonprofit organization;
- Should be of such a size and scope that a gift of $10,000 will have a meaningful impact on either the organization as a whole or the specific program described in this application; and
- Should not have won this award within the last five years
