They will consider all projects consistent with mission: To build community through free arts and culture events, engaging public art, and enlivened public spaces.
Eligibility Requirements
- Events or projects must take place during the Spring 2026 Linda Plaut Festival of the Arts, May 16-June 30, 2026 and within the City of Newton.
- Applicants may request up to $1,000 maximum.
- Events must be open to the public; free or low-cost events are strongly encouraged.
- Applicants must demonstrate readiness to proceed, including confirmed or pending event dates and venues.
- Applicants who received prior funding from Spark Newton or Newton Community Pride are eligible to apply; repeat funding will be considered as part of the review process.
- The request may not be for public or private school programs, food/beverages, scholarship, capital improvement funding and event/program support that would benefit any political or religious cause, individual or group.
