The City anticipates receiving approximately $1.5 million of CDBG funds and $450,000 of HOME funds. The programs are designed to provide decent housing and a suitable living environment and to expand the economic opportunities for primarily low, very low, and extremely low-income persons. - Applicants must be an:
- incorporated for profit,
- a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, or
- a public organization able to undertake the approved activity (ies) within the boundaries of the City of Portsmouth.
- To be considered for funding, applications must meet the eligibility requirements for the applicable HUD program.
- All projects shall be provided in the City of Portsmouth limited to serving persons in the City of Portsmouth unless otherwise agreed to by the City.
