Program Areas
This FOA announces the availability of funds for the following program areas and solicits proposed projects throughout rural Alaska from eligible applicants.
- Energy – General and Wood Heating Systems (Applicants may request awards of up to $500,000)
- Transportation ( Applicants may request awards up to $2,000,000 )
- Facilities for Healthcare and Community Wellness (Applicants may request awards up to $300,000)
- Village Infrastructure Protection (Applicants may request awards of up to $200,000)
- Sanitation (Applicants may request awards of up to $250,000.)
- Housing (Applicants may request awards of up to $250,000)
- Broadband (Applicants may request awards of up to $250,000.)
- Economic Development (Applicants may request awards of up to $150,000)
- Workforce Development (Applicants may request awards of up to $1,100,000)
- Infrastructure Fund (Applicants may request awards of up to $2,000,000)
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicants include state, municipal, borough, tribal governments, and Indian Tribes as defined by Title 25 US Code § 5304, regional housing authorities, universities, regional tribal non-profit organizations, and non-profit organizations. For-profit Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) entities may apply.
