Details:
Replace your diesel powered stationary agricultural engine to help reduce air pollution. Successful projects will be eligible to receive a grant within a range from $10,000 to $250,000.
- Priority will be given to projects located within low-income and disadvantaged communities
- The District has discretion on how grants funds are distributed.
Project Requirements
- Replacement equipment shall be for one new electric motor.
- Applications are limited to one grant project per Company, LLC, Taxpayer ID, etc. with final determination at the District’s discretion.
- Must be a diesel powered engine that is greater than or equal to 25 horsepower with an operational hour meter.
- Engine must be operational, and verified as such by the District at a pre-inspection.
- During the last 24 months, the engine must have operated 100% of the time in Santa Barbara County. Newly funded projects must also operate 100% of the time in Santa Barbara County.
- During the last 24 months, the existing engine must have been in compliance with the District’s Agricultural Engine Registration program.
- Existing engine must be destroyed by a District-approved salvage yard.
