The MIG Program will continue to fund general shared services that result in cost savings, with a focus on redevelopment and improvements to existing municipal parks and recreation areas, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-accessibility improvements at public facilities, construction of new sidewalks, and connector trails, critical improvements to infrastructure and facilities, and enhancements to agency capacity and capability to respond to fire and rescue operations.

Priorities
Priority will be given to the following types of projects:
- Partners with other municipalities and taxing authorities;
- Projects that will result in recurring property tax savings;
- Includes an organizational match or contribution (high percentage contributions will be prioritized);
- Aligns with 2022 County budget initiatives and priorities;
- Aligns with a local master plan, capital plan, or prioritization;
- Leverages other funding sources, including private resources;
- Redevelops or revitalizes underserved neighborhoods; and
- Park projects that incorporate a sensory component to support special needs populations.
Funding Information
- These grant programs have an estimated combined availability of $4 million.
- General Shared Services – Minimum: $25,000 – Maximum: $150,000
- Fire and Rescue – Minimum: $25,000 – Maximum: $300,000
- Community Development – Minimum: $25,000 – Maximum: $100,000 | Joint Applicant Max : $200,000.
Grant Period
Generally, projects should be completed within 18 months to two years. The initial grant term will be October 1, 2022 – to September 30, 2024.
Eligibility Criteria.
All local government entities with taxing authority within Dutchess County can apply for funding, including all municipal (city, town, and village) entities, fire and rescue agencies (municipal, non-profit, and fire districts), and water and wastewater public authorities. Entities are encouraged to coordinate efforts and apply jointly, when possible.
