Building a Bright Future for Small Business and Nonprofits in Nevada

Are you a small business owner or non-profit located in unincorporated Clark County that was negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic? Did you lose staff, clients, revenue, and/or the ability to conduct business as usual? TEAP is designed to provide grant funding and one-on-one technical assistance grants for small businesses and non-profits.

Details:

Funding for the TEAP is intended to help businesses and non-profits that show long-term viability and scalability. Following a thorough evaluation process, program grantees will receive a grant investment award. The grant money is eligible to be used for operating expenses, meaning that it can only be used for things like reopening, paying wages, training, benefits, etc. Recipients will also be assigned to work with a Technical Advisor for 13 months. With assistance from program advisors and Subject Matter Experts, grantees will create and implement long-term plans to strengthen their business.

Funding Information

  • The grant award amount for the microbusiness category is capped at $5,000.
  • The grant award for non-profits and existing businesses will be based on annual gross revenue (AGR) according to the following tiers:
    • Tier 1 Grant Award Amount $5,000:
      • Non-profits with AGR between $1,000 – $49,999
      • Existing businesses with AGR between $25,000 – $49,999
    • All microbusiness applicants
      • Tier 2 Grant Award Amount $10,000:
      • Non-profits and existing businesses with AGR between $50,000 – $99,999
    • Tier 3 Grant Award Amount $15,000:
      • Non-profits and existing businesses with AGR between $100,000 – $249,999
    • Tier 4 Grant Award Amount $25,000:
      • Non-profits and existing businesses with AGR between $250,000 – $499,999
    • Tier 5 Grant Award Amount $50,000:
      • Non-profits and existing businesses with AGR between $500,000 – $749,999
    • Tier 6 Grant Award Amount $75,000:
      • Non-profits and existing businesses with AGR between $750,000 – $999,999
    • Tier 7 Grant Award Amount $100,000:
      • Non-profits and existing businesses with AGR between $1M – $3M.

Eligibility Criteria 

  • The TEAP is open to businesses and non-profits located in unincorporated Clark County
  • Applicants that have previously applied for TEAP and were declined are ineligible to re-apply, UNLESS one of the following applies to you:
    • Your business application was declined due to the date of your Clark County business license and you have a physical business location
    • Your nonprofit application was declined due to the start date on your Clark County Charitable Organization Certificate
  • Existing Business – defined as an active business with more than one (1) year of continuous operating history starting from the original date of issuance listed on the Clark County business license, a minimum of $25,000 and less than $3 million in annual revenue, less than 50 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees, a current Clark County business license and physically located in unincorporated Clark County
  • Non-Profits – defined as a continuously operating organization as described in section 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(19) of the Internal Revenue Code with more than one (1) year of continuous operating history, ) a minimum of $1,000 and less than $3 million in annual revenue, less than 50 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees,  a current Clark County charitable organization certificate, and physically located in unincorporated Clark County
  • Microbusiness – defined as a business with less than 12 months of operating history from the original date of issuance listed on the Clark County business license physically located in unincorporated Clark County, less than 50 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees, and a current Clark County business license.
