Details:

The City’s Community and Family Resources Department is responsible for the distribution and administration of this fund. In 2022, $250,000 was distributed to local non-profit agencies including Beacon, Inc., Centerstone, Bloomington Homeless Coalition, Hotels for Homeless, Middle Way House, Monroe County Humane Association, New Hope for Families, Sojourn House, and Wheeler Mission.

The City of Bloomington Downtown Outreach (DTO) grants are enabled by City of Bloomington taxpayer dollars and strive to fund projects that will improve the human condition of Bloomington residents who are unhoused or who are at risk of homelessness.

Fiscal Year: January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023.

  • How did the Downtown Outreach Grant increase your agencies ability to serve your target audience?
  • Attach grant final detailed budget. – Please describe how you spent your grant funds. Were any major changes made from the grant proposal? Do you have significant amount of money still unspent ($200 or more)?
  • Sustainability- Please describe how the project funded by this grant will continue in future years if the Downtown Outreach Grant is reduced or no longer available and what impact that will have on your clients.
