Details:
DOEE is seeking applications for grant activities that will:
- reduce the environmental impacts of the built environment in the District,
- increase industry knowledge and capacity to design, construct, and operate high-performing buildings.
Applicants are to propose one or more of the following for their building project(s):
- Net-zero energy,
- Building electrification,
- Renewable energy storage,
- Embodied carbon reduction, and/or
- Deconstruction and reuse

The total amount available for the project is approximately $175,000. DOEE intends to award multiple grants
Eligibility Criteria
All the institutions below may apply for these grants:
- Nonprofit organizations, including those with IRS 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) determinations;
- Faith-based organizations;
- Government agencies;
- Universities/educational institutions; and
- Private Enterprises.
