This program provides funds to support emergency planning for State, local, and Tribal juvenile justice residential facilities. Funds may be used to restore essential services and operations.
For the purposes of this solicitation, an emergency is defined as an incident—natural, technological, or manmade—that requires a response to protect life, property, or the environment. In general, funds may be used to cover costs associated with ensuring that the facility is prepared to maintain the efficient continuation of operations to reduce risk to the facility and to ensure the safety and well-being of youth and staff in juvenile justice residential facilities.
Goals
This program will support the development, improvement, and/or implementation of emergency planning activities for the state, county, and local juvenile justice residential facilities.
Objectives
The objectives are to strengthen facility preparedness to maintain the efficient continuation of operations and reduce risk to the physical plant and ensure the safety and well-being of youth and staff in juvenile justice residential facilities.
