The program provides up to 80 percent reimbursement funds for all kinds of recreational trail uses including, but not limited to:

Sponsor Eligibility
The RTP is intended to be a program through which states provide grants to trial project sponsors through an open competition process based on the merit of project proposals. The State of South Dakota will award grants to private, non-profit organizations, municipal agencies, state agencies, federal agencies, and other governmental entities.
