Details:

The Clabough Foundation aims to promote and improve the conservancy and stewardship of natural resources, and to promote and foster regional arts and cultural offerings, by aiding public and private organizations involved in such activities specifically in the areas of North Carolina and Oregon. The Clabough Foundation is a private foundation that distributes grants in support of nonprofit organizations whose activities promote the mission of the Foundation. The Foundation is particularly interested in supporting recreational and educational endeavors with a cultural, environmental or other similar focus. The Foundation prefers to fund organizations for one year only.

They like to fund projects and groups who create positive change that encompass the broadest public benefit within their communities in these areas:

Geographical Focus

The Foundation limits it’s funding to the High Country area of North Carolina (Ashe, Avery, Burke, Caldwell and Watauga counties) and the Deschutes River Watershed area of Central Oregon (Deschutes County).

Funding Information

  • The Clabough Foundation grants range from $1,000 to $15,000.
  • The Foundation provides major grants for special projects in the range of $25,000 to $100,000.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Grant requests are considered only from organizations that are established nonprofit, tax-exempt, charitable organizations and public entities in the mentioned geographic areas.
  • Clabough Foundation welcomes requests from new or small organizations as long as they have a 501(c)(3) status.
