The goal of this program is to support the implementation of locally initiated projects, and clusters of projects, that will be used to test new approaches and build a more inclusive and sustainable arts and culture network, as well as those that serve to make the arts and culture ecosystem of these communities more equitable and representative.
Program Focus
This year, the Creative Catalyst Program is interested in prioritizing projects that offer creative solutions to broader community issues related to increasing local wealth building, equity, diversity, representation, and access to arts and cultural resources. the creative Catalyst Program aims to help mitigate stark inequalities in wealth formation and economic opportunity in Gateway Cities by providing flexible, community-level funding for arts and culture.

- Category 2: Creative Clusters (Awards of $60,000 -$100,000 available).

Attleboro, Barnstable, Brockton, Chelsea, Chicopee, Fall River, Haverhill, Holyoke, Lawrence, Peabody, Pittsfield, Revere, Worcester Main South, Worcester Theatre District.
Eligibility Criteria
Individuals, organizations, and project teams proposing projects in and around current and former TDI districts—with the exception of New Bedford, which is receiving separate Barr-funded arts-based assistance through TDI—are eligible to apply for a TDI Creative Catalyst Grant. Diverse and inclusive project teams are encouraged to apply.
