Community Support Grants are investments United Way of Central Missouri makes to address immediate, critical unmet needs or to support emerging needs in the nine counties they serve.

Grant opportunities are open to any health and human service 501(c)(3) agency that meets the grant criteria, serves all or a portion of the United Way of Central Missouri service area (Camden, Cole, Maries, Miller, Moniteau, Morgan, Osage, Phelps and southern Callaway counties) and has been in operation for two or more years. These one-time grants provide health and human service agencies the opportunity to start a new program, enhance an area of service or purchase needed equipment and supplies. Community Support Grants allow United Way to connect with community partners and strengthen efforts to fight for the health, education, financial stability and basic needs of every person in our community. Grant funding must be utilized to address a need in the area of behavioral health, education, food insecurity, financial stability, health, shelter, transportation or other basic needs.
“The ability to provide this vital support in the form of one-time grants to local nonprofit agencies is thanks to the incredible generosity of our community. The support of their caring community allowed United Way to not only meet, but exceed our $2.2 million campaign goal in 2021,” said Ann Bax, United Way of Central Missouri President/CPO. “United Way of Central Missouri continues to make it a priority to put additional funds back into the community to address immediate, critical needs, address gaps in services and support new programs to serve and protect their community.”
