The objective of this Notice of Funding Opportunity is to obtain Technical Services and Projects to enhance Conservation Technical Assistance and Farm Bill Program Delivery across Georgia.
Georgia NRCS wants to receive proposals related to the items below for Conservation Planning Technical Assistance since the projects must support one or more of the identified conservation objectives in order to be reviewed:
- Soil Health
- Urban Agriculture and Conservation Education
- Incorporating New Methods/Technologies in Conservation Outreach and Partnerships
- Aquatic/Water Quality
- Pollinator Habitat Enhancement
- Wildlife Habitat Enhancement
Agency Priorities
- Ensure equity in the delivery and implementation of all NRCS programs and services.
- Increase assistance for climate-smart agriculture and forestry to support producers in building resiliency across their operations.
- Expand conservation tools and support to address the unique needs of urban farmers and communities nationwide.
- Cultivate a complete and diverse workforce that has the right tools, technologies, and training to uphold the scientific integrity of NRCS.
- Leverage innovative partnerships to expand NRCS’s ability to get conservation on the ground effectively and efficiently

The estimated funding floor for this opportunity is $25,000 and the estimated funding ceiling is $600,000
Grant Period
Projects may be between 1 and 4 years in duration. Applicants should plan their projects based on an estimated project start date of September 15, 2022.

Eligibility for this opportunity is limited to the following entity types:

- County governments
- Independent school districts
- Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
- Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments)
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS (other than institutions of higher education)
- Nonprofits that do not have a 501 (c)(3) status with the IRS (other than institutions of higher education)
- Private institutions of higher education
- Public and State-controlled institutions of higher education
