The Boots to Business Introduction to Entrepreneurship course is an on-base, (or online as directed) two-day introductory course designed to introduce and orient participants to the vocation of business ownership. It is designed to assist transitioning service members and spouses by providing an overview of business ownership, and the resources available to start, build, or grow a small business.
Funding Information
- A maximum of $1 million in funding is available annually, for up to five years. There is no minimum award amount. SBA anticipates awarding one (1) cooperative agreement from this announcement, subject to the availability of funds, the quality of proposals received, and other applicable considerations.
Eligibility Criteria
- Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
- For profit organizations other than small businesses
- Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments)
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
- Small businesses
- Private institutions of higher education
